What do you know about Trendrr.com?

Seriously… have you even heard of it? It’s the “new kid on the block” and as such, the folks there truly have their collective finger on the pulse of the Web.
Everybody is talking these days about social media and Web 2.0 and how it ties in with Internet Marketing. The problem is that a medium like Twitter for example is so fluid that a hot topic right now may be passé by dinnertime.
So the problem is, how do you know what’s hot right now… and more importantly, what’s going to be hot next week? Well…
- Google Trends in their Zeitgeist center is a good start… log in and it will give you some nice information.
- Twitter lists the Trending Topics right on screen… pretty close to real-time data there.
- YouTube has a “Statistics & Data” tab that sometimes gives nice trend information about videos
- StumbleUpon, Digg, Deli.cio.us,Reddit, etc all have their own methods of rating “hotness”
But how do you find the time to monitor all these sites and STILL get anything done?
That’s where Trendrr.com comes in. Just check out this video to see how cool Trendrr.com really is…

I had never heard about trendrr before but it looks good. Google trend is okay but there is a lot of information to sort through.
David,
Thanks for checking out the video… Google Trends are good… but with Trendrr you can save and watch your trends instead of having to re-enter the info. I track a bunch of things with it… really helps get your timing right.
Peace,
Alan

Thanks! I stumbled across your blog and learned something today (Ok, it was yesterday and I bookmarked it). I signed up for Trendrr, which looks amazing. However, I already have problems.
I tried to copy and paste specific YouTube video URL’s into the box and it tells me it’s an invalid video URL. I tried this with several videos, from the individual video page, copying and pasting straight from the address line in the browser. So… I don’t know what the problem is.
They don’t even have help available that I’ve been able to find. It just takes you to “GetSatisfaction” where “hopefully” – “someone” – will answer your question.
Have you had any problem with this?
Thanks for the great post!
Hey Veronica,
I just tried it and had no problems… although the first time I pasted only “youtube.com” came out and not the “youtube.com/watch?v=” part… so make sure that the whole URL posts correctly.
Hope this helps… if not… let me know and I’ll try to help you figure it out!
Peace,
Alan
Hi Alan,
A Trendrr employee actually answered my complaint on GetSatisfaction yesterday. They said they’ve identified the problem and are working on it. They said it is “intermittent” so you “may” be able to come back and try again later and it works. I haven’t got one to work yet though lol.
Hey Veronica!
I’m glad they got back to you at least… they are new after all so are working out the bugs…
If you’d like, I could track them and then you could use the graphs… if time is an issue especially… let me know if there’s anything I can do!
Good luck…
Peace,
Alan
